Paul was also known for his adoration of drag racing and would spend countless hours tinkering with cars. Despite experiencing the loss of his parents and son, Paul is survived by a loving daughter, granddaughters, great-grandsons, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Paul R. Clark, a cherished member of the Sacramento, Kentucky community. On a somber day, December 22, 2023, Paul bid farewell to this world peacefully at the Pottsville Nursing and Rehab Center in Pottsville. He graced us with his presence for 78 remarkable years.

Personal Information

On a fateful Thursday, precisely on January 18, 1945, a remarkable individual named Paul came into this world in the peaceful town of Mandata. His origins trace back to the late Lyle N. Clark and Arlene K. (Jones) Clark, both now resting eternally. Nurtured within the warm embrace of an affectionate family, Paul’s heart blossomed with an unwavering empathy and an unwavering dedication to aiding others.

Paul’s journey started at Tri-Valley High School, where he not only thrived academically but also formed enduring bonds of friendship. Armed with his diploma, he ventured into the world, finding his calling as a master of the machines at Sterman Masser Potatoes. Through unwavering commitment and unparalleled dexterity, Paul quickly earned the admiration and trust of his peers, solidifying his prominent place within the team.

Family and Relationships

Paul R. Clark was a devoted and caring individual who held his family in the highest regard. Tragically, he experienced the loss of both his parents and his son, Wayne A. Clark. Paul leaves behind his beloved daughter, Denise L. Murray, and her husband John, whom he was incredibly proud of. As a grandfather, he reveled in the joy of having three wonderful granddaughters named Kirsten Young and her husband John, Chivon Gerres and her husband Tim, and Kylee Sarango and her husband Solomon.

Adding more blessings to his life, Paul was also fortunate to be a great-grandfather to two delightful great-grandsons named Weston Gerres and Mason Gerres. It is worth noting that Paul’s brother, Earl Clark, and his wife Connie, as well as his sister, Lena Shoffler, and her husband Donny, survive him. Paul’s presence, which radiated warmth, will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, and the entire extended family. The impact he made in their lives is immeasurable.

Funeral Arrangements

Come together on Friday, December 29, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Paul. Join us at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc. in Valley View for a touching service presided over by the Reverend Raymond W. Holland, III. His words of comfort and support will provide solace to all who attend.

Prior to the service, spend time in remembrance at the funeral home from ten o’clock until eleven o’clock in the morning. After the service, we will lay Paul to rest at the tranquil St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Valley View, a serene final resting place befitting of his incredible legacy.

Tragically, on December 22, 2023, Paul R Clark, a cherished member of the Sacramento, Kentucky community, passed away at the age of 78. Born on January 18, 1945, Paul was the son of Lyle N. Clark and Arlene K. (Jones) Clark. He completed his education at Tri-Valley High School and worked as a skilled mechanic at Sterman Masser Potatoes before retiring. Paul found solace in his membership at Christ Church, Leck Kill, and had a passion for drag racing and car repairs. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Wayne A. Clark.

Remembering Paul R. Clark are his daughter Denise L. Murray and her husband John, three granddaughters, two great-grandsons, a brother, a sister, and several nieces and nephews. Reverend Raymond W. Holland, III will officiate the funeral services on December 29, 2023, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc. in Valley View. Before the service begins, there will be an opportunity for visitation, and the interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Valley View.
